1. Breast Cancer Screening Center in Fribourg (2008-2009)

Screening Project of Fribourg Center

All sites participating in the Fribourg Radiology Program are currently equipped with digital mammography, and over 90% of the mammograms are digital since beginning in 2007. The Fribourg Center decided to undertake the necessary developments to replace the second reading on analog film by a second  reading on Reading Stations station equipped with high resolution screens (softcopy workstation). In order to ensure optimal ergonomics, the high-resolution Reading Station and the RIS Multifondacs software of Fribourg Center are interfaced to the Kisano platform.

The Kisano network installed at the Second Reading Center as well as at the Cantonal Hostipal of Fribourg (First ReadingCenter) and a private center interfaces the RIS fo Screening. In addition, using the network Kisano, the PACS of the Cantonal Hospital of Fribourg will provide for all the centers long-term archiving services.

We have made connections on the Kisano DICOM interface with the following Readings Stations: Hologic Selenia, Sectra IDS5, Image Diagnost, GEE, Carestreamhealth, Medecom.

2. Imaging & Development GENEVA : IMAGERIVE (2007-2008)

ImageRive is the largest private radiology breast center Switzerland.  The center conducts 90 mammography exams per day. It provides senology training fr the University Hospital of Geneva. Delivery of a Reading Station for the digital mammography with high resolution screens ( Planar Dome 5Mpixels) and Integration with Sectra PACS solutions and WDS center. Set-up of th KISANO connectivity for the telemedicine project.

Integration with PACS and Sectra WDS and existing Reading Stations.  Integrating U.S. GEE, GEE Essential, Sectra D40 low dose, low dose Sectra L30.  Development of signal processing softwaref for the digital mammography equipment of the center to improve the display. Perfoming assessment of display quality on several Reading Stations.
