DICOM - HL7 - IHE

Services offered by EUROMEDIM (the software manufactrer of KISANO) allows healthcare players to move to a 'paperless' and 'filmless' world.  This is allowed thanks to our strong knowledge of industry standards, the most important of which are DICOM, HL7 and IHE.

DICOM is a standard enabling communication between different medical imaging modalities. It manages the imaging workflow and offers image data integration between images, modalities, peripherals and systems.

HL7 provides protocols to share, manage and integrate various medical data into ‘electronic health records’. A specific version is used in Belgium, namely KMEHR.

IHE provides implementation guide lines based on existing standards such as DICOM and HL7. These standards allow better interoperability, but in practice, potential ambiguities and conflicting interpretations may arise. Euromedim brings its expertise to anticipate and resolve such problems.
